IT@Bank for Asseco Poland SA

2009

Once again, Asseco Poland SA won in the ranking of companies providing IT solutions for banks and financial institutions, being organized by BANK monthly magazine.

We have been acknowledged  as the best company in the main category, as well as in several sub-categories.  Presenting of the awards of the  IT @ BANK 2009 ranking  took place on November 19th at the Hilton hotel in Warsaw at the gala.


Main prizes in the  IT@BANK 2009 ranking:

  • Main Prize for Asseco Poland  SA for taking first place in the ranking of "Top IT companies for the financial sector 2009"
  • Award for ComArch SA for taking second place in the ranking of "Top IT companies for the financial sector 2009"
  • Award for Sygnity SA for taking third place in the ranking of  "The best IT companies for the financial sector 2009"

The Silver Umbrella

2009

During a ceremonial gala commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Polish Chamber of Commerce and the 200th anniversary of economic self-government, the Chamber awarded Gold and Silver Umbrellas to pre-eminent Polish politicians and entrepreneurs. Gold Umbrellas went to Lech Wałęsa and professor Leszek Balcerowicz. The prizes were awarded for determination in guiding Poland towards free market transformations.

One of the Silver Umbrellas, awarded to notable entrepreneurs, went to Adam Góral. The President of Asseco Poland SA has been recognized, as we read in the competition board’s argumentation, “for successes in creating an innovative economy, for inspired management, successful mergers and expanding the company to all of Europe.”

Prize of the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications

In recognition of the many years of supporting the development of the Polish ICT market, the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications awarded Jacek Duch, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Asseco Poland SA, with the Prize of the Chamber in March 2009. For three years now, the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications has been awarding the prizes to individuals who aid the development and promotion of IT in the Polish business, politics and education the most.

Alongside Jacek Duch, the prize has been awarded to Waldemar Pawlak, Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy, and Michał Goliński, Ph.D., assistant professor at the Economy IT Chair of the Warsaw School of Economics.

“Pearls of the Polish Stock Market” – Parkiet

Asseco Poland SA was named the “company with highest value in the New Technologies category.” In mid-May 2009, Parkiet presented its ranking of the “Pearls of the Polish Stock Market,” and the accompanying industry subrankings. Asseco Poland SA was placed as high as third in the general ranking, right after TP and TVN.

“Best Company of the Quarter” – Puls Biznesu

Asseco Poland SA was named the “Best Company of the Quarter” in a ranking prepared by the financial daily “Puls Biznesu”. Companies were evaluated not only by their financial results, but also by the market’s response to their quarterly reports. The company was awarded this title for the first quarter of 2009.

“IT Market Leader” – Home & Market

2008

The monthly publication “Home & Market” created a ranking of IT companies quoted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The ranking is based on the cumulative revenues of the companies for the first four quarters of 2008. Asseco Poland SA has improved its 2007 result which placed it in the group of most profitable companies by 117.31%, and in doing so earned the top spot.

The second and third places went to Sygnity and Comarch. Fifth came Asseco’s subsidiary – Asseco Slovakia.

TOP200 IT and Telecommunications Company Ranking by “Computerworld”

According to the TOP200 IT and Telecommunications Company Ranking by “Computerworld,” the Asseco Poland SA (Group of Companies) is among the very top companies in the industry, awarded the following places in the categories of:

  • 1st place – solutions provider; banking sector
  • 1st place – solutions provider; enterprise sector
  • 1st place – service provider
  • 1st place – software deployment service provider
  • 2nd place – solutions provider; finance sector
  • 2nd place – tailored software vendor
  • 2nd place – network design and construction service provider
  • 3rd place – training service provider
  • 4th place – health-care solutions provider
Asseco Poland SA also ended up sixth among in-house software vendors in 2008, and second (with ABG taking first place) among tailored software developers.

Award of the Polish Confederation of Private Employers “Lewiatan”

In May 2008, Adam Góral, the President of Asseco Poland SA's Management Board, received the A. Wierzbicki award, awarded by the Polish Confederation of Private Employers “Lewiatan” to pre-eminent Polish entrepreneurs. Adam Góral received the award for building a company that “is an example of best management practices, for his openness and courage in bringing business vision to life, as well as for his social activities in supporting the development of culture and sports.”

2008 Partner of the Year – Oracle Polska

On April 23, 2008, during the Oracle Forum conference, Asseco Poland SA was awarded the “Partner of the Year” statuette. The award went to the five Oracle partners who contributed the most over the previous year to popularizing Oracle technologies and applications in Poland and abroad.

PremiumBrand 2008

Asseco Poland SA won the “PremiumBrand 2008” Independent Ranking of Publicly Listed Companies’ Reputations, in the “Technologies – Media – Telecommunications” category. The PremiumBrand ranking was based on research conducted among 400 institutional investors, who were asked to evaluate the reputations of companies quoted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. There were four factors taken into account: leadership competence and abilities of the Management Board, business orientation, reliability in business contacts, and the general image of the company on the investment market.

In the general ranking Asseco Poland SA earned a high 7th place.

“He, Who Changes Polish Industry” – Nowy Przemysł

For “consistent execution of the company’s growth strategy that has allowed it to grow from a small upstart to a leader of the Polish market,” in January 2008 the monthly “Nowy Przemysł” awarded the prestigious title of “He, Who Changes Polish Industry” to Asseco Poland SA and Adam Góral, the President of the company’s Management Board.

2008 Magellan Awards

Magellan Awards are given by graduates of the Kraków School of Economics for exceptional projects in the area of management and business, as well as for outstanding social achievements. The competition’s idea is to look for modern Magellan who, like the famous explorer, combine vision with resilience and managerial abilities, which allows them to achieve great goals and therefore  change the world.
Adam Góral, the President of Asseco Poland SA, was nominated in the 2008 Manager of the Year category for Asseco’s successful mergers, owing to which the company became an IT giant in Central Europe.

Benefactor and Taxpayer of the Year – Subcarpathian Business Club

In 2008, the Subcarpathian Business Club awarded its Economics Awards for the eighth time. As usual, the competition’s board awarded prizes in four categories: economic strength, export activity, amounts of tax paid and ‘benefactor of the year.’ Asseco Poland SA won the last two categories. The company has paid the most taxes, and also contributed over PLN 20 million for charity and sponsoring activities.

Best Investor Relations Award – IR Magazine

2008

Asseco Poland SA was named among Poland’s four companies with the best investor relations. The competition was held by the prestigious “IR Magazine” – a magazine dedicated to investor relations . Based on research by the London-based Mary Maud Research that included over 7000 capital markets experts, the world’s best companies in terms of investor relations were identified. In Poland, BRE Bank, PKN Orlen and Telekomunikacja Polska were also named.

Orzeł Rzeczpospolitej 2008

In April 2009, the daily “Rzeczpospolita” announced its yearly “Top 500” list of Poland’s best companies. The top three received a statuette of the Eagle of the Republic.

Marek Panek, Vice-President of the company’s Management Board, received the statuette on behalf of Asseco Poland SA in the category of service and infrastructure providers.

The two remaining statuettes went to SGL Carbon Polska (in the category of manufacturers) and Euro Bank (the finance sector).

The Victoria Statuette and the “Shark of the Year” title

In March 2007, the company received IBM’s 2006 Victoria Statuette in the Partner of the Year category (for cooperation with IBM as a developer of software offered on IBM’s hardware platforms), and the “Shark of the Year” title for “successes in battling the competition.”

Manager of the Year – Teleinfo Golden Processors

In December 2007, the board of the Teleinfo Golden Processors competition awarded the title of Manager of the Year to Adam Góral, President of Asseco Poland SA's and Prokom Software’s Management Boards, for creating Poland’s largest IT company, being also one of the largest in Europe.

“2007 Best Managed Publicly Listed Company”

In February 2008, Asseco Poland SA was awarded the title of the “Best Managed Publicly Listed Company” by the daily “Gazeta Giełdy Parkiet”. Asseco has also received the Bull and Bear statuettes in previous years (in a number of categories).

Business Gazelle – Puls Biznesu

In 2001-2006, Asseco Poland SA was regularly awarded the “Business Gazelle” – an award for the most dynamically developing companies in Poland. The competition is organized by the prestigious daily “Puls Biznesu”, and covers  SMEs.

INFO-STAR 2006

The goal of this competition is to award spectacular achievements in three main areas: business achievements, IT solutions, and IT promotion. Asseco Poland SA received the award in the “Business Achievements” category.

2005 Teleinfo Gold Processors

In 2005, Asseco Poland SA received the 2005 Teleinfo Gold Processor in the Company of the Year category.

Fast 50

The company has been featured twice in the “Technology Fast 50” program, organized by Deloitte&Touche. The program covers over 10 thousand state-of-the-art technology producers in Central and Eastern Europe. The company was rated high among the top 50 fastest growing companies.
